Key Takeaways
- The Crystal Ball refill is the most flexible pick on paper: it is listed for both the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron and provides over 80 misting moments.
- Genie Lamp owners should choose the Genie Lamp-specific pack; its two vials are described as providing over 80 misting moments, but its listed compatibility is narrower.
- The Cauldron spells refill adds ingredients for luck and wishing spells and is described as supporting 20 or more mist reveals.
- The Crystal Ball/Cauldron and Genie Lamp packs state a higher misting capacity than the spells pack, though the products use different wording: “misting moments” versus “reveals.”
- Check the exact playset before buying: the spells pack requires a Magic Cauldron, and the Crystal Ball refill listing says the compatible toy is sold separately.

More Details on Our Top Picks
Magic Mixies Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack for Crystal Ball
This is my best overall pick for owners of either listed playset because its compatibility covers the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron. The pack contains two vials and is described as providing over 80 misting moments, giving it a strong case for buyers who mainly want to repeat the mist effect. Compared with the Genie Lamp refill, it supports a broader set of named toys; compared with the spells pack, it prioritizes misting capacity over new spell ingredients.
That broader listing comes with a practical limit: it still applies only to the Crystal Ball and Cauldron, and the product description says those toys are sold separately. The details do not say whether every version or edition of either toy is compatible, so match the refill to your specific playset before ordering. This pick makes the most sense when you own one of the two named toys and want a refill centered on repeat misting, rather than a pack whose main extra is spell play.
Pros:- Listed for both the Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron
- Contains two vials
- Described as providing over 80 misting moments
- The listing describes the mist as safe to use
Cons:- The Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately
- It is not listed as compatible with the Genie Lamp
- The supplied details do not specify compatibility across toy versions
Best for: Owners of the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Magic Cauldron who want two mist vials and a stated capacity of over 80 misting moments.
Not ideal for: Genie Lamp owners, buyers without a compatible playset, or anyone specifically seeking luck- and wishing-spell ingredients.
- Contents:Two vials
- Misting capacity:Over 80 misting moments
- Compatible toys:Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron
- Safety description:Described as safe to use
- Crystal Ball included:No; sold separately
- Cauldron included:No; sold separately
Our verdict“Choose this refill for its two-playset compatibility and stated misting capacity, after confirming your toy is a Crystal Ball or Cauldron.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Genie Lamp
For a Genie Lamp owner, this is the clearest match in the lineup: the pack is designed specifically for the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp, with two easy-to-use vials and enough mist for over 80 misting moments. That stated capacity places it alongside the Crystal Ball/Cauldron refill and above the spells pack’s 20+ reveals by the numbers provided, although the descriptions use different terms and do not define them as directly equivalent.
Its tradeoff is narrow compatibility. The Crystal Ball/Cauldron pack names two playsets, while this one names only the Genie Lamp. That focused fit is an advantage if the lamp is your toy, but it gives owners of the other playsets no stated reason to choose it. The listing also does not mention new spell ingredients, so buyers looking to add luck or wishing spell activities should look to the Cauldron spells refill instead. I’d pick this when you want a straightforward mist restock for the Genie Lamp and already have that toy.
Pros:- Made for the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Includes two easy-to-use vials
- Described as providing over 80 misting moments
- The listing describes the refill as safe to use
Cons:- Compatibility is limited to the Genie Lamp in the supplied details
- The Genie Lamp is not stated to be included
- No additional spell ingredients are listed
Best for: Magic Mixies Genie Lamp owners who want a two-vial mist refill with a stated capacity above 80 misting moments.
Not ideal for: Crystal Ball or Cauldron owners, and buyers who want additional spell ingredients rather than a mist refill alone.
- Contents:Two vials
- Compatible toy:Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Misting capacity:Over 80 misting moments
- Use:Magical mist refill
- Safety description:Described as safe to use
- Genie Lamp included:No; refill pack only
Our verdict“For a compatible Genie Lamp, this is the direct high-capacity mist refill; other playset owners should choose a pack that names their toy.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack
This pack serves a different need from the two higher-capacity options: it pairs mist for 20 or more Cauldron reveals with ingredients for a luck spell and a wishing spell. Those ingredients give Cauldron owners an activity-focused reason to choose it, especially if they want to revisit spell-making rather than simply replenish mist. Compared with the Crystal Ball/Cauldron refill, it adds named spell ingredients but lists fewer mist reveals; compared with the Genie Lamp pack, it targets a different toy entirely.
The Magic Cauldron is sold separately, so this is useful only if you already have the compatible playset or plan to get it. Its stated reveal count is lower than the over-80 misting moments listed for the other two packs, but the descriptions do not explain whether a reveal and a misting moment use the same measurement. I would choose this for its two spell activities, not as the strongest option for maximizing the stated number of mist uses.
Pros:- Includes ingredients for a luck spell and a wishing spell
- Provides mist refill for 20 or more reveals
- Designed for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
- Adds spell activities that are not listed for the other two packs
Cons:- The Magic Cauldron is sold separately
- Its stated reveal count is lower than the over-80 capacities of the other packs
- The listing does not name the Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball as compatible
Best for: Magic Cauldron owners who want ingredients for luck and wishing spells along with mist for 20 or more reveals.
Not ideal for: Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball owners, or shoppers who prioritize the highest stated misting capacity over spell ingredients.
- Mist reveals:20+
- Included spells:Luck spell and wishing spell
- Compatible toy:Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
- Color:Multicolor
- Cauldron included:No; sold separately
- Contents:Mist refill and spell ingredients
Our verdict“Pick this Cauldron refill when the two spell activities matter more to you than maximizing the stated misting count.”
How We Picked
I ranked these by how well each pack serves its stated refill purpose: keeping a particular Magic Mixies playset going. I compared the listed compatible toys first, then the stated misting capacity and whether the pack adds play ingredients beyond mist. That order matters because a refill that does not match the toy you own cannot serve its intended role, regardless of its other contents.
On the supplied product details, the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill takes the broadest-use position because it lists two compatible playsets and over 80 misting moments. The Genie Lamp refill offers a similarly high stated capacity, but its compatibility is limited to the Genie Lamp. The spells refill ranks as the activity-focused choice: it lists 20+ mist reveals and ingredients for two spells, making its appeal different from the two-vial, high-misting-capacity options. I treated the supplied descriptions and specifications as the basis for comparison; they do not establish interchangeability across toys or give a precise amount of liquid per reveal.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Magic Mixies Refill Pack
I’d choose a Magic Mixies refill by matching the toy first, then deciding whether repeat misting or spell activities matter more. The product names sound similar, but their listed compatibility and included contents differ.
Match the refill to your playset
Start with the toy’s name and compare it to the compatibility listed on the pack. The Genie Lamp refill names the Genie Lamp; the spells refill names the Magic Cauldron; and the two-vial refill names both the Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron. Only the last of these lists two playsets. The supplied details do not confirm that refills can be swapped between products, so don’t assume a similar mist effect means a pack will fit your toy. If you are buying for a gift, check which playset the recipient has before choosing.
Compare misting counts with care
The Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron packs each state over 80 misting moments. The spells pack describes enough mist for 20 or more reveals. That makes the two-vial options the clearer choices if a larger stated count is your priority. Still, the product descriptions use different terms and don’t explain how a “reveal” compares with a “misting moment.” I’d use the counts as a helpful guide, not a precise apples-to-apples measure of how long each pack will last.
Decide whether spells are the point
For buyers who want new spell activities, the Cauldron pack has the clearest advantage: it includes ingredients for luck and wishing spells. Neither of the other supplied descriptions lists spell ingredients. If you want a straightforward mist restock, the Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball/Cauldron pack better fits that purpose and has a higher stated misting count. This distinction can settle the choice quickly: pick the spells pack for its activities, and select one of the other packs when replenishing mist is the main goal.
Check what is included
These are refill packs, and at least two listings explicitly say the compatible toy is sold separately. The Cauldron spells pack does not include the Magic Cauldron; the Crystal Ball listing says both the Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately. The Genie Lamp description identifies the refill as intended for the lamp but does not list the lamp as included. Read the package description and check what you already own so you do not mistake refill contents for a complete playset.
Choose by the tradeoff you can accept
The Crystal Ball/Cauldron pack balances two-playset compatibility and a high stated misting count, while the Genie Lamp refill gives a similar stated count to a single named toy. The spells refill gives up some stated mist capacity for two specified spell activities. There is no single best fit across every buyer: the toy you own sets the shortlist, and your preferred play pattern breaks the tie. For the narrowest chance of a mismatch, match the full toy name on the refill listing to the label or packaging for your playset.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these three Magic Mixies refill packs interchangeable?
The supplied details list different compatible toys, so I would not treat these packs as interchangeable. The Genie Lamp refill is listed for the Genie Lamp, the spells refill for the Magic Cauldron, and the two-vial Crystal Ball refill for the Crystal Ball and Cauldron. Check your exact playset against the refill’s compatibility information before buying.
Which refill pack has the highest stated misting capacity?
The Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron refills each state that they provide over 80 misting moments. The Cauldron spells pack is described as providing mist for 20 or more reveals. Since the listings use different terms and do not define them as equivalent, I’d compare the numbers as stated rather than assume an exact shared measure.
Which pack includes the luck and wishing spells?
The Magic Mixies Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack, ASIN B08S2X66T3, includes ingredients for a luck spell and a wishing spell. It is listed for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, which is sold separately. The other two packs focus on mist refills and do not list those spell ingredients.
Does the refill pack include the Magic Mixies toy?
These listings describe refill packs rather than complete playsets. The spells pack says the Magic Cauldron is sold separately, and the Crystal Ball refill listing says the Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately. Check the individual listing before ordering, especially if you are buying a first Magic Mixies set rather than a refill for one you own.
Which refill should I choose if I own the Genie Lamp?
The Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Genie Lamp is the direct match because the supplied details list it for that toy. It includes two vials and is described as providing over 80 misting moments. The Crystal Ball/Cauldron refill names different playsets, and the spells refill is listed for the Cauldron, so neither is as clear a fit for a Genie Lamp owner.
Conclusion
I’d choose the Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill if I own either named toy and want the broadest listed compatibility alongside over 80 misting moments. For a Genie Lamp owner, the Genie Lamp-specific pack is the straightforward choice, with a similar stated capacity. If I own the Cauldron and want extra play activities, I’d pick the spells refill for its luck and wishing ingredients, accepting its lower stated reveal count. In every case, I’d verify the toy match before ordering and remember that the compatible playset may be sold separately.
